Great book - and my 16 year old daughter (who'd asked for it for a Christmas present and then told me to read it when she'd finished it) also said it was great. Trouble is - now I have to try harder to be good. Thank God for faith though !

Amazing! Recommended by staff of Wesley Owen bookshop when looking for a book to give to daughter who has just become a Christian. Our grandson read it also! Praise the Lord, we are prayerfully thinking of giving a copy to each of our family groups and continue to pray that the Holy Spirit will move them to read it. Life changing. May the Lord bless you.

"Hi. My name is Katie, and I'm 16. In our Sunday School (Youth Group) this morning, our leader asked for a volunteer. Of course he hadn't said what we had to do, but I trusted him, so I raised my hand and said I'd do what ever it was (In the process of doing that, I spilt hot coffee over my leg, but never mind). I was asked to read THE SHOCK OF YOUR LIFE, for next Sunday and to tell the group what I thought about it. He handed the book over to me, explained gave me a brief explanation about what each story was about (and I mean very brief) and said enjoy.
    When I first saw the book, I thought 'Oh good.' but not really meaning it. I got home, and decided I didn't have anything to do, so I might as well read it. I'm only on page 26 at the moment, and I now think 'WOW!!!!!!!!!! This book is Brilliant!!!!!!!!!!'. It has already got me thinking about how I'm living (or in the case not really living my life) to God. But there is DEFINATELY going to be a change in the way I live. I can't wait to read the rest of this, and my Sunday school is DEFINATELY going to be getting a very positive review of this book."

"This book challenged me so much. it made me realise that I don't want to be a luke warm christian, but that I want to go the full mile for Jesus. and he deserves it too. It made me cry and laugh all at once and gave me revelation of how brilliant heaven will be. i often forget that heaven IS heaven, but the book made it seem so realisic and exciting!

"We recently read your book after hearing you speak about it at Stoneleigh and buying it. Quite frankly we think that it is fab!!! It was a real encouragement and exactly what we needed to hear. We are both 14 and attend St.Albans girl's school.
    In English last week we had to do a book review, we chose your book! It got a great response with not only the whole class but the teacher as well! And we even got an A! A lot of our non-Christian friends are now really interested in reading it.
    It was a real kick up the backside and to us – God said through the book, "stop wasting your time and save my people!!!" We also realised that it's not our time anyway but it's Gods time, so why waste it? We are so undeserving of being the maker of the universe's best mate and still we let him down.
    Liz became a Christian this year at Stoneleigh and we both realised that when we come before Jesus on judgement day, even if it is tomorrow, we don't want to be ashamed but instead be glorified in the same way as Emma was in the book, feeling satisfied with the way we have lived our lives. a little over-preachy at times - UK
"I've read chapter one so far. It's quite good although it becomes a little over preachy at times and loses a little of its thread as a story as a result - the preachy bit uses some language which is unfamiliar to the unchurched youth. Nevertheless, an original and useful book. I certainly think Christian young people would find it as useful as non-Christians."

"i heard about (and brought ) the shock of your life @ stoneleigh 2000. i am reading the book @ the moment and i think it's a brilliant book 4 non-christians and 4 christians, it has ( and still is ) taught/teaching me a lot about heaven. i would strongly recomend it 4 any 1 who is a non-christian or a luke-warm christian."

"I bought The Shock of Your Life at Stoneleigh. I couldn't put it down. Since then my husband and sister-in-law both picked it up and fought over it the following week on holiday. It has changed my perspective. I long to be a red-hot-christian and to live completely for God. I know I was luke-warm.
    My 18 year old step-son is the one who is on my heart most right now. He has heard the Gospel many times but has not accepted Jesus. I am praying he will read the book. I am buying another copy for him. It is a great book for his age group to read and so easy to read. Thank you for writing it."

The book is even better. The stuff in the book is the truth, most essential reading after the Bible. Both will change the way you live your life. "

"I would just like to congratulate you on writing such a brilliant book. I went to Stoneleigh Bible Week last week and heard the book advertised there. My sister bought it and I read it in a couple of hours. It was excellent, so well-written and easy to read.
    I found the book really challenging. It was really helpful to have all the quotes and main points from the Bible...I have been a Christian for 13 years and discovered that I didn't actually know that much about what Jesus said about what happens when we die.
    It's given me a desire to read the Bible more, and, more importantly, to live my life for Him. This book was so easy to relate to, I found that I could identify with a lot of the things that the characters thought and felt. Hopefully some of my friends who aren't Christians will read it and it will make them think. An excellent read...thanks so much."
